This seamless process exemplified the successful collaboration between our real estate partners at The Penzo Team and our design + build partners at Urban Blueprint.
The Penzo Team began by selling the family’s two condos at record prices, paving the way for the search for their ideal home in Moore Park. With the expertise of Urban Blueprint, the family considered the potential of an older home that, with extensive renovation, could embody their exact vision.
Urban Blueprint undertook a complete gut renovation, transforming a charming but dated house into a contemporary 2023 home. At this stage, Homekin stepped in to bring the clients’ vision of a comfortable yet stylish interior to life. We meticulously layered diverse elements, textiles, and textures, aligning with the couple’s preference for green. The family room was elevated with two sumptuous mossy velvet armchairs, set against a graphic black and white striped area rug, with a cognac leather tufted sofa taking center stage.
Crafting the Perfect Family Room
Despite the ample size of the family room, we strategically placed two arched mirrors flanking the fireplace to amplify the sense of space and reflect the natural light pouring in from the bay window. Media cabinets beneath the mirrors added functionality and aesthetic appeal, while a console table behind the sofa provided a platform for table lamps, candlesticks, and floral arrangements, enhancing the room’s verticality.

Seamless Integration in the Kitchen and Dining Area
In the adjacent kitchen and dining area, we ensured a seamless flow by incorporating the cognac hue of the tufted sofa into a custom-upholstered banquette.
This practical addition featured wipe-down vinyl and built-in storage, ideal for a family with young children.
The kitchen’s clean and simple design, with white cabinetry and off-white countertops, was given a touch of opulence with brass hardware and plumbing fixtures, complemented by black leather and brass stools.

Elevating Bathroom Elegance
The bathrooms adhered to a timeless black and white palette, elevated with brass hardware and fixtures. Benjamin Moore's Wrought Iron paint on railings, the fireplace, and interior doors added definition and impactful contrast against the pristine white walls.
